Literature Text

The Author sat at her desk underneath her bunk bed. It was a warm October afternoon, a Saturday, when the Author's parents were out on business meeting that left her completely home alone, the exception being her little brothers, most of whom were taking a nap.
She was thinking, and typing this story to both procrastinate and pass the time.
Pass the time because she was bored and confused, and procrastinating because she got page fright every time she tried to write chapter 1of her novel.
It wasn't like she didn't know what to write, she just didn't know the right way to write it down. She was terrified that if she wrote it quickly and sent it off to the writer's critique group, it wouldn't be ready and would be a failure.
So, in writing this, she put it off and searched her mind for ideas. Fan fictions were always a nice way of self –induced and imaginary wish fulfillment, and it made her happy to see her own dreams and hopes spill onto the pages.
It made her forget herself and remember them.
Them being all of her favorite characters.
When they came around in her mind, she forgot how her parents were fighting, it helped her to forgot the slander and ridicule she faced when she went online, and the devil in the back of her mind that said, "You can't do anything right."
In fiction, she could lose herself and if she got lucky enough, she could lose reality.
It was wonderfully freeing.
But  enough about our silly Author, and more about what adventures she mentally conjures up for herself.
She had been thinking  a lot about a certain someone lately, too much for her own good.
And the certain someone was a Norse superhuman named Loki, and even more so, an  English actor named Tom Hiddleston.
She knew she needed to think more of her novel and less of Loki, but she couldn't help it. The trickster was forcing her to spend long hours rewatching movies, listening to an audiobook, and staring at pictures of him, and long hours of not forgiving herself for something.
It wasn't her fault she hadn't checked her blog that night.
But only. If only she could turn back time
Then maybe she'd be a happier girl right now.
She concentrated hard on her writing, squeezing her eyes shut and pretending she was elsewhere.
Six hours later…
She was sitting upright in her parent's four poster bed, her baby brother asleep beside her. It was dark, and her parents still weren't home yet. She had her laptop in front of her, and she was typing as fast as she could.
She had drugged herself with black tea and  four chocolate chip cookies, but that had been hours ago.
It was  wearing off, and it was wearing off fast.  She didn't know how much longer she could keep her eyes open.
So,   to combat her exhaustion,  he put her ear buds in and turned up her iPod's volume loud, drowning out the sleep with Skillet.
Sighing, she looked out of the window that was behind, up at the moon and the Big Dipper that hung high in the sky above her home.
She didn't know how long she started at the moon and the stars, and she didn't notice the figure that creeped silently into her parent's bedroom.
She didn't notice the hand on her shoulder until it was too late.
this is the first actual chapter of For the Fangirls, because somebody requested it.
